African American Student Services encourages all students to look at their financial aid/bursars accounts throughout the semester and set appointments with us if you need assistance understanding your account. In addition, we encourage all students to seek out funding assistance from the various departments at UNM who offer it, as well as community scholarships.

*All students are ONLY eligible to receive one type of Funding Assistance (i.e. Emergency, Award, Scholarship, Grad Assistance) each academic year (August-July). This is to ensure that we are able to assist as many students possible each academic year. All UNM Staff employees who are eligible for tuition remission are not eligible to receive any Funding Assistance. If you have any additional questions, please make an appointment with a staff member in African American Student Services.

** All funding is distributed through your student Bursars account. It is your responsiblity to let the staff of African American Student Services know if your Bursars account is not clear.
