Trajuan Briggs Community Impact Scholarship Deadline July 31
The Trajuan Briggs Community IMPACT Scholarship provides financial assistance to undergraduate students enrolled at the University of New Mexico. This scholarship not only benefits students through financial assistance but also provides them the tools to make an IMPACT (Individuals Making Progress Amongst our Communities Together) during their matriculation at UNM through academic support, community service, and relationship building with the staff of African American Student Services. Scholarship recipients will be notified the second week of August. Please contact our office for questions or assistance in filling out the application.

Conference Assistance Currently Closed
All Conference Assistance Proposals are due the first Monday of every month. Please submit funding for conferences at least 2 months in advance. All funding is granted at the Discretion of the Director and may sometimes require additional information be submitted.You are responsible for informing AASS if you have a balance on you Bursars when applying for funding. Students who work in AASS via work-study, student employment, GA are not eligible to apply for funding. Staff who work at UNM are not eligible to apply for funding. Priority is given to those who have not received funding from our office in previous semesters and who actively participate in AASS. If you do not receive response within two weeks, please email afro@unm.edu

Emergency Scholarship FundingCurrently Closed
All Emergency scholarship funding is granted at up to $250 per student/academic year and is processed through your Bursars account. You are responsible for informing AASS if you have a balance on you Bursars when applying for funding. Students who work in AASS via work-study, student employment, GA are not eligible to apply for funding unless extenuating circumstance and need is discussed with Director. Staff who work at UNM are not eligible to apply for funding. Priority is given to those who have not received funding from our office in previous semesters and who actively participate in AASS.
