Black Graduation & Awards Ceremony
Our Awards and Recognition Ceremony gives African American Student Services an opportunity to recognize the academic and service/volunteerism accomplishments of our students from the university. Awards and Recognitions during this ceremony include the following categories:
- High School Seniors graduating and will be attending UNM in the Fall
- Undergraduates with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Graduates with a GPA of 3.5 or higher
- AASS Leadership Awards
- Fannye Irving-Gibbs Community Service Award
- African American Student Services Award
- All Undergraduates and Graduates graduating during that Academic Year
This event is held annually the last Saturday of every April. Information for the ceremony is disbursed every academic year beginning in March.
