Sankofa Peer Mentorship Program

Goals: 

• Students will attain advice and strategies to deal with first year barriers associated with academics and finances, utilizing resources/asking for help, and time management/prioritizing
• Students will engage in a community service project helping those in the Albuquerque Community
• Students will gain a general knowledge of looking up scholarships and how to apply for them
• Students will have the opportunity to engage with various leaders within the Albuquerque Community
• Students will participate in programming with active student leaders on campus
• Students will develop a sense of inclusion in African American Student Services & on campus as a whole
